GOLDEN LUSTRE by 3.9 Lengths! They don’t win their Maiden much more impressively than that!

The 3yo daughter of Written Tycoon was having just her second career start at Murray Bridge on Friday, returning from her Autumn 2yo campaign after a close up fifth on debut at Morphettville back in March. Ridden by comeback jockey Emily Finnegan the speedy filly sat up on the tempo over the short course 900m before balancing up shortly after they turned for home and powering away for na emphatic 3.9 length victory.

She still has plenty to learn but there is no doubting the raw ability this lightly raced filly possesses.

‘We really liked her at the Inglis Premier sale in 2016, and we took her home for just $60,000 fall of hammer which was good buying for a filly by Written Tycoon’ Said a delighted Wylie Dalziel post race.

‘She is still very mentally immature and will continue to improve with racing, however Phillip Stokes believes she has a lot of raw ability and we are hoping she can build a platform off that and graduate to better races in the autumn’.

Golden Lustre is trained by Dalziel Racing’s exclusive South Australian trainer in Phillip Stokes and will soon be set for a return to city racing after her effortless victory on Friday.
