Double Pi was simply outstanding at Echuca, claiming the VOBIS Gold race in dominant fashion and making it two wins from only five career starts.
Taking on older, more seasoned rivals in a race rated above her current mark, the 4YO mare showed her class and strength, surging clear in the straight to score by more than a length. It was a confident, professional performance that suggests there’s plenty more to come.
Jockey Carleen Hefel delivered a perfect 10 out of 10 ride, timing her move beautifully when she angled off the fence and into the better going down the middle of the track.
