Sister Shay broke through in bold front-running fashion on Sunday, leading from start to finish to win Race 7 at Bendigo!
The 4YO mare by Shamus Award, bred by Rosemont Stud, jumped cleanly and went straight to the front. Jockey Sarah Field let her roll along at her own tempo and by the 800m she was three lengths clear of the field. Despite the challengers closing late, Sister Shay dug deep and held them off for a gutsy and well-earned win and is building a great record from only 8 starts she has now had 3 wins and 3 seconds.
A terrific training effort from Craig Widdison, and a confident ride by Sarah — full credit to the whole team behind her success.
