Sister Shay Dominates the Dunstan Sprint at Wodonga

Sister Shay lit up Wodonga in the Sam Miranda Wines Dunstan Sprint, delivering a commanding front-running win that had the locals cheering. She began sharply from the gates, rolled straight to the lead, and travelled beautifully for Sarah Field, who judged the tempo with real confidence. Down the back she stretched them out, turning for home with a clear break, and despite tiring late she proved far too strong, running her rivals into the ground for a stylish two-length victory.

Congratulations to trainer Craig Widdison, who had Sister Shay spot-on for her home-track assignment. His team’s preparation shone through from the moment she stepped onto the course, and it was fantastic to see her reward that work with such an assured performance.

Her win continued what has been a remarkable day across the stable, following Supernima’s gritty success at Pakenham and Patriotic King’s tough effort earlier in Darwin. Three winners, three tracks, and plenty to celebrate.
