Skipjack Strikes at Morphettville!

Skipjack delivered a terrific result on Saturday at Morphettville, scoring a well-deserved victory in Race 3, the Sportsbet Fast Form Handicap, with a strong and composed performance.

Ridden perfectly by Jacob Opperman, Skipjack travelled comfortably throughout the run before showing a sharp turn of foot when it mattered most. Once asked for his effort, he responded professionally, finding the line strongly to claim the win and reward the team’s confidence.

This victory also highlights a smart piece of planning behind the scenes. A big thank you must go to Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman, who originally suggested shifting Skipjack to Adelaide. That decision proved spot on, with the move allowing the horse to thrive under the care of Phillip Stokes and his team, and ultimately deliver this excellent result.

Congratulations to all of Skipjack’s owners on a fantastic win, and credit to everyone involved in his preparation. It’s always rewarding to see a plan come together, and Skipjack looks to have plenty more to offer as he continues to progress.
