Reaping the rewards for a career of consistency, Savannah Cloud registered back-to-back win for the first time, bolting home up the rail at Moonee Valley under the Friday Night Lights.

Sent out as a lukewarm favourite, the Savabeel gelding didn’t let his backers down as Madison Lloyd took him underneath his rivals at the bend and steered him home by three and a half lengths.

Trained by Phillip Stokes after being found and purchased by Peter Moody and Wylie Dalziel out of New Zealand, the five-year-old has missed the placings on just three occasions in 19 starts and, after his latest victory at The Valley, taken his career earning in excess of $265,000.

With more improvement expected, the return for his loyal band of owners should only increase as he progresses through the grades.
