“Jump out nice, go forward and then bang” LINDA MEECH on Hell of an Effort

With those 8 words jockey Linda Meech jumped Hell Of An Effort straight out of the barriers and the colt did the rest. The unbeaten run of our colt Hell Of An Effort continued as he drew away at the 200m mark to record an impressive 2.5 length victory at Caulfield on Saturday over 1100m.

The colt, a son of Reward For Effort was selected by Wylie along with Peter Moody and purchased at Melbourne Inglis Yearling Sale in Melbourne earlier this year for $35,000.00. He has now won $110,300.00 including $55,300.00 in bonus making all owners a nice return on their initial outlay. Peter Moody commented in the media after the race that:

“I will probably give him his chance in one of those Blue Diamond Preview or Preludes….I will send out for a week in the paddock and then bring him back and ready for the next stage of this preparation”

A big contingent of owners, see below, from all over Victoria were present to witness a very impressive run from the colt and then share together the experience of celebrating a winner in style in the Winners Room and hold the Joe Brown Plate the winning trophy.

Congratulations to all!

….and 53 minutes later Bringaroo goes bang at Geelong!

“AND BRINGAROO WINS BY 5” On Course Caller

The colt went to the races at Geelong as Peter Moody said in his pre-race comments to “furtherhis racing experience” after his debut at Moonee Valley and returned home later that afternoon a winner at his second start.

A $90,000.00 January 2015 Magic Million purchase the colt brought his trial form to the races to record an impressive 4.25 length victory. He gave jockey Jake Noonan an armchair ride and the race was never in doubt as the colt came down the centre of the track to win running away.

In his exclusive WDRH RACING post-race interview Jake added that:

“He will win plenty of races and today was another big learning curve for him……he did it with ease …settled well and then I waited ….he did the rest”

Peter Moody, like Jake felt that the MV race improved him and has informed us all that:

“I will send the colt down to Mornington to work on the treadmill for a week and then bring him back and prepare him for his next assignment in mid-January.”

The exciting aspect of our December 2015 is that the first two of 2015 crop of yearlings purchased with Peter Moody to race has returned a 100% Strike rate of purchases to winners.

A great result….

Congratulations to all owners and Peter Moody
