Autumn Angel won the Group 2 Kewney Stakes at Flemington Racecourse impressively, adding to her Group 3 success in the Ethereal Stakes at Caulfield in the Spring. She is now won three with 3 placings from only 7 starts for over $380,000 in prizemoney. Purchased and selected by Wylie Dalziel and Peter Moody from the Sydney Inglis 2022 Easter yearling sale for 230K, Autumn Angel is another Dalziel Racing success story after selecting only 2 fillies from the sale for a small group of investors who were keen to secure well-bred fillies, the 2nd filly Queen Starlight is also a winner.
“She’s a very tough girl. She gives us a bit of a hard time at home every now and again but when they’re tough like that on race day you don’t mind it,” Coleman said.
“It was a fantastic ride from Mark Zahra. He produced her at the right time. She was able to build momentum and roll into it. There are good things in store for this girl.”
