After a narrow miss when running second last start, the racing gods were back smiling on Glamour Fox with the Clare Cunningham-trained mare claiming victory in a thrilling blanket finish.
Typically a 1600m horse, Glamour Fox dropped back to 1400m to take on the $50,000 Mothergift at the famed Grafton carnival and didn’t disappoint.
A one-time $90,000 purchase by Wylie Dalziel and Peter Moody at the Magic Millions sales on the Gold Coast, Glamour Fox continues to prove a savvy investment for her owners, which include Cunningham, who has done a terrific job in training the horse.
The win pushes her career earning toward $250,000 and earned her a peak handicap rating of 82.
