Excitingly we’ve secured a precocious chestnut colt from a Group 1 Blue Diamond winner. Tagoloa is a Group 1 winning son of former Japanese horse of the year and leading stallion Lord Kanaloa.

He’s from the first crop of Tagaloa and is from the multiple winning More Than Ready mare Assertin Mischief, who is a half-sister to Stakes placed Extraordinary .

The family of this colt is full of black-type, including multiple Group 1 winning filly Assertive Lass, multiple Group 1 winning Sire Reset, and Australian Champion 2YO Assertive Lad.

The colt was selected by Wylie Dalziel and Peter Moody and will be trained by champion trainer Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman .

“Tagaloa was a Blue Diamond winner himself as a two-year-old, so there is no reason this colt can’t be back here at the Gold Coast in twelve months’ time for the Magic Millions” Wylie Dalziel

He’s fully paid up for the lucrative Magic Millions race series which offers $15.45m in prize money across 16 races for 2, 3 and 4 year olds. And he’s also VOBIS Sires and VOBIS Silver eligible qualifying him for lucrative bonus payments across many Victorian races.

Tagaloa x Assertin Mischief a promising colt with a strong pedigree joining a champion stable. With the added incentive of the VOBIS Silver bonuses, it will be exciting to have secured this colt which represents great value.
