The six-year-old gelded son of Savabeel had not been seen since his second placing in the Group 3 Shaftesbury Avenue in March, but showed he come on beautifully over the break edging out his rivals over the somewhat less than ideal distance of 1200m
Purchased by Wylie Dalziel and Peter Moody and trained by Phillip Stokes, Savannah Cloud has now eclipsed $500,000 in career prizemoney in a 25-start career which has seen him miss the placing just four times.
As he looks to get out a little further in trip over the course of his spring preparation, connections will no doubt be feeling good about what might lie ahead.
