3YO Gelding Zed Or Alive won his maiden on Sunday on Yarra Valley Cup day over the distance of 1968 metres. The son of Zed has showed good talent as a stayer on the track but just taken a little time to put it all together on race day.
Very well ridden by jockey Linda Meech Zed Or Alive was beautifully rated just behind the speed and fought out the finish to defeat his only challenger in a head bob while putting a big margin back to the rest of the field.
Zed Or Alive trained by Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman was an 80K purchase from the New Zealand Karaka 2022 ready to run sale and is raced by an excellent group of loyal owners in Australia and New Zealand.
The Win has capped off a great 2 weeks for the powerful combination of Dalziel and Moody Racing with 4 winners which included Scorsese, Mr Marrakech and Autumn Angel winning the Group 2 Kewney Stakes at Flemington.
